About Us FAQ

B2B purchasing questions about VISFURN.

Use this procurement FAQ to prepare dimensions, materials, hardware, documentation and project review questions.

01

General Purchasing & Quotation

Start here when preparing an inquiry, sample request, OEM brief or project quotation.

For an accurate quotation, provide the door type, quantity, opening or door leaf dimensions, finished wall thickness, frame requirements, finish or color, hardware requirements, project location and destination port. If available, also send a door schedule, architectural drawing or reference image.

Yes. Project quotations can be reviewed from architectural drawings, door schedules or specification sheets. A useful schedule normally includes door marks, quantities, sizes, wall thickness, frame type, finish, hardware requirements and opening direction.

MOQ depends on the product category, dimensions, finish, hardware requirements and level of customization. No universal MOQ is published because the applicable quantity must be confirmed for the requested specification.

Sample availability and conditions depend on the door type, finish and required customization. A sample or project mock-up can help confirm appearance, dimensions, frame details, finish and hardware preparation before larger-volume production.

VISFURN is positioned for OEM and ODM B2B supply. Buyers should provide drawings, dimensions, construction requirements, finish references, hardware information, packaging requirements and expected quantities.

Custom sizing can be reviewed based on the door type and construction. Buyers should distinguish between rough opening size, frame outer size, door leaf size and finished wall thickness.

02

Door Size, Frame & Wall Thickness

Clarify the measurements and frame details that affect quotation, installation and final appearance.

The rough opening is the wall opening prepared for installation. The door leaf size refers only to the movable door panel. The frame occupies part of the rough opening, so the three measurements are different.

Finished wall thickness affects frame depth and the way the frame, architrave or trim covers the wall. If frame depth does not match the completed wall build-up, installation and appearance may be affected.

At minimum provide opening width, opening height, finished wall thickness, required leaf size if known, opening direction, frame type and quantity. For larger projects, a door schedule is preferred.

Not necessarily. Frame depth and trim configuration should be reviewed against finished wall thickness for each application.

An architrave or door trim covers the joint between the frame and wall and contributes to the finished appearance. Compatibility depends on frame design and wall build-up.

Provide finished wall thickness whenever possible. Plaster, tile, gypsum board, decorative panels and other finishes can affect the frame depth required for installation.

03

Materials & Door Selection

Compare material and application requirements before selecting a door category.

Wooden and WPC doors differ in material composition, surface options, moisture behavior, repair characteristics and application requirements. The correct choice depends on the installation environment, finish requirements, budget and complete project specification.

There is no single door type that is automatically best for every hotel. Buyers should consider guest-room application, corridor-facing finish, wall thickness, frame design, lock preparation, hardware, project standards, quantity, room numbering and finish consistency.

School door selection depends on room type, usage frequency, required durability, hardware, frame, opening size and local project requirements. Specific school safety or fire compliance should not be claimed without verified documentation.

Hospital door procurement should consider opening size, wall thickness, frame, hardware, access-control preparation, vision-panel requirements if applicable, finish requirements and project standards. Medical, antibacterial, fire or smoke performance claims require verified documentation.

An entrance door describes the functional position at an entry point, while an exterior door describes use at an outside-facing opening. The two categories can overlap, so buyers should confirm exposure, frame, threshold, finish and hardware requirements.

Finish and color options can be reviewed by door category and approved reference. Buyers should provide a color reference, surface expectation, quantity and whether one finish must remain consistent across a project.

04

Hardware & Door Preparation

Confirm the information needed for locks, hinges, electronic locks and access-control preparation.

Lock, hinge, closer, access-control and other hardware preparation can be reviewed when the relevant hardware information and approved door specification are provided.

Hardware should be confirmed before drawings, samples or production details are approved because lock cases, hinges, closers, access control and handles can affect machining and preparation.

Electronic-lock preparation can be reviewed when the hotel lock model, installation template, handing, frame details and project requirements are provided. Compatibility should be confirmed before production.

Provide the access-control hardware model, lock case or template, cable route requirements, handing, door thickness, frame details and any interface requirements that affect preparation.

05

Project Orders

Organize schedules, mixed door types and project labels before production planning.

A door schedule is a structured project document listing the doors required for a building. It may include Door Mark, Location, Quantity, Width, Height, Wall Thickness, Door Type, Frame Type, Finish, Hardware Set, Opening Direction, Rating Requirement and Notes.

A project may contain different door categories, dimensions, finishes, frames and hardware sets. Buyers should organize these differences by door mark or door type in the door schedule.

Prepare a schedule containing each door mark, room or location, quantity, dimensions, wall thickness, finish, frame and hardware requirements.

Project-specific labeling can potentially be arranged depending on confirmed packing and order requirements. Buyers should specify the desired label format before packing.

06

Packing, CBM & Shipping

Review packed dimensions, shipment volume and destination information before loading is planned.

Export packing should protect the door leaf, frame, finish, corners and hardware from handling damage. The final method depends on door type, project quantity and shipment arrangement.

CBM is calculated from final packed dimensions, not only nominal door leaf dimensions. Frames, trims, hardware cartons and pallet configuration affect total shipment volume.

There is no reliable universal answer because container quantity depends on door dimensions, frame type, leaf thickness, trim, hardware, packing method and pallet configuration. Do not publish a fixed number unless verified against a real packing specification.

Because the shipment includes more than door leaves. Different frame depths, trims, packaging, hardware cartons, dimensions and pallet layouts can significantly change total CBM.

Provide destination country, destination port if known, project city if relevant and required trade terms if already defined.

07

Quality Control & Documentation

Align inspection, documentation and rating requirements with the exact door system.

The inspection process depends on the actual product and project specification. Typical checkpoints may include dimensions, surface appearance, finish consistency, frame compatibility, hardware preparation, quantity, labeling and packing condition.

Inspection requirements should be agreed before the order is finalized. Buyers may request documentation, photos, inspection records or third-party inspection arrangements where applicable.

Please send the required certification or test standard for your project. Our team will review whether the requested door configuration can be supported by the relevant available documentation.

Fire, acoustic and other performance requirements depend on the complete tested door system, including the leaf, frame, seals, hardware and installation configuration. Please provide the required rating and applicable standard so the correct configuration and available documentation can be reviewed.

08

OEM / ODM

Prepare the drawings, finishes, hardware, branding and packaging information needed for a custom program.

OEM buyers should provide drawings, dimensions, construction requirements, finish reference, frame details, hardware, branding requirements, packing requirements, expected quantity and project or market requirements where applicable.

A reference image can help communicate design intent, but production still requires dimensions, material or construction, finish, frame, hardware, profile details and quantity.

Customized packaging requirements can be reviewed for OEM or distributor orders. Exact available options must be confirmed for the order.

09

Ordering & Production Preparation

Use this final check before specifications are frozen for mass production.

Confirm the door schedule, dimensions, wall thickness, frame, finish, hardware, handing or opening direction, quantity, project labeling, packing and required documentation.

Common mistakes include confusing rough opening with leaf size, not providing finished wall thickness, confirming hardware too late, not specifying handing, failing to define finish approval, ignoring packing or site-label requirements and assuming certifications apply without checking the exact door system.
